The deal between you and us

Last updated 2026-10-11. Version v1 (2026-10-11).

The short version. Tipsy Trivia is a trivia game for phones. You can play the built-in questions for free. If you name your own topic, we write questions for it using AI, and that uses credits. Pro is $4.99 a month and renews until you cancel. You must be 13 or older to play and 18 or older to buy anything. The questions can be wrong. Be decent to each other. The full terms are below and they are the ones that count.

1. Who we are

Tipsy Trivia (the "service") is made and run by Sheikh Consulting Corp, a Wyoming corporation operating from Massachusetts, United States ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support@tipsytrivia.ai. When you use the service you agree to these terms, our privacy policy and our refund policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Who can use it

3. Your account

You can play your first games as a guest with just a first name. To save your record, name a topic or buy anything, you sign in with your email address and a 6-digit code we email you. There is no password.

4. The questions

Built-in questions are written by us with the help of AI tools and checked before they ship. Questions for a topic you name are written by AI on request and then checked by a second AI pass. We do our best, but:

5. Topics you name

When you name a topic and write a short brief, we use that text to write questions. By submitting it you give us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to store it, send it to the AI providers we use to write and check questions, and use it to run and improve the service. The questions we write for your topic are private to you unless you choose to share them or we publish them with your OK.

You may not request topics or briefs that are:

We use automated filters and may refuse, remove or edit any topic or question, and may close the account of anyone who keeps trying. Credits are not refunded for a request we refuse under this section.

6. Credits

A credit is a virtual good with no cash value. 1 credit = 1 trivia question written for you about a topic you name. Playing anything already in the game, including every built-in category and any topic you already built, never uses a credit.

500 Pro credits a monthEach month you are a Pro subscriberReset at the start of every billing period. Unused Pro credits do not roll over.
300 pack creditsBuying a credit pack for $4.99, one timeNever expire while your account is open. Spent after your Pro monthly credits.

7. Pro and payments

All payments go through Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.

Pro subscription

Credit pack

A pack is 300 credits for $4.99, charged once. It does not renew. You can buy as many as you like.

Chargebacks

If you dispute a charge with your bank instead of asking us for a refund, we suspend paid features on your account until the dispute is resolved. Please email us first. We fix billing mistakes fast and without fuss.

8. Refunds

If you ask within 7 days of your first charge, we refund that charge in full, no questions asked. After that, cancelling stops future charges but we do not give partial refunds for the rest of a month. Billing mistakes are always refunded. The details are in our refund policy, which is part of these terms.

9. Sharing a game

A game has a join link and a room code. Anyone who has the link can open the game, see the board, the scores and the players' nicknames, and take the open seat. Only share it with people you want in the game. We cannot un-send a link for you.

10. What you may not do

11. Who owns what

The service, its name, design, code and question bank belong to us or our licensors. Your topic text is yours; you licence it to us as described in section 5. Questions we write for your topic are ours, with a personal licence to you to play them in the service for as long as your account is open. If you send us feedback or ideas, we can use them without owing you anything.

12. Ending things

13. No guarantees

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, bug-free, or that questions will be accurate. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Some states do not allow this, so some of it may not apply to you.

14. Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising out of the service is capped at the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, lost data, or lost profits, even if we were told they were possible. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not let us limit.

15. Disputes

  1. Email first. If you have a problem, email support@tipsytrivia.ai with "Dispute" in the subject and tell us what happened. We will reply within 10 business days and try to sort it out. Both sides agree to spend at least 30 days trying to resolve it this way before doing anything else.
  2. Wyoming law governs these terms and any dispute, without regard to conflict of law rules.
  3. If we cannot work it out, claims go to the state or federal courts in Wyoming, and both sides agree to those courts. You may instead bring a qualifying claim in small claims court where you live.
  4. Any claim must be brought within one year of when it arose, where the law allows that limit.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, the "Last updated" date and version at the top change. For changes that matter (prices, credits, your rights), we email account holders at least 30 days ahead and ask you to accept the new terms the next time you sign in. Using the service after a change means you accept it. If you do not, stop using the service and, if you are Pro, cancel before the new terms take effect.
